இளம்குழந் தைப்பரு வம்விளை யாட்டில்
இளமைப் பருவம் இளம்பெண் அருகில்
முதுமைப் பருவத்தில் சிந்தனையே முற்றும்
இதுபரம் என்பதிலை யே!

ஆதலினால் பஜகோவிந்தம் பஜகோவிந்தம்
கோவிந்தமென சொல்லடா மூடா!

Young childdays went in play and game
Youth time passed at theyoung girl's side
In old age thoughts and thoughts always
But no thought of ultimate one!

யாரிந்த பத்தினி யாரிந்த புத்திரன்
நீராழி சம்சார மோவிரிந்த ஓர்வியப்பு
எங்குநீ யார்வழி வந்தாய்நீ சிந்திப்பாய்
இங்குண்மை என்சோத ரா!

சத்சங்கத் தில்பெறலாம் சங்கமற்ற தன்மையை
சங்கமற் றால்பெறலாம் மோகமற்ற தன்மையை
மோகமற் றால்கலக்கம் என்பது இல்லை
கலங்கா திரதுமுத்தி யாம்!

Dry water lake is of no use
Weak wealth is no use at the home
