Birkenhead Market. Poem by Tom Allport

Birkenhead Market.

Birkenhead market was once the lifeblood,
Heartbeat of a prosperous and proud market town
But sadly the market over the last few years
Has been neglected and slowly run down
Wirral Borough Council is to blame
Their absurd and imprudent decisions
Have contributed to the current market decline
This Council should hang its head in shame.
