Birth Of Darkness - Poem by Theresa Bailey Delashmit
In the distance
A delicate picture forms, within the background of hills
Birds fly...screaming in the sunset
The trees reach up to heaven, until
The light conceives darkness
The colors blend, spanking the sky
The sun is waving beams...hello to the night
Congratulations, goodbye
The moon nurses the stars, they grow...brighter in the sky
Their twinkling light, now a reflection of love
In your eyes
Your touch is gentle
As we share this miracle, I pray
Thank you Lord...for delivering darkness, so beautifully
From the womb...of the day
