Bitter Injustice Poem by Conor O'Neill

Bitter Injustice

Under scorching summer sun
A sweet lump of icecream
Melts upon the lawn
My son is bawling
Still clutching his decapitated cone
Still tasting the injustice of it all.

Lovely. Nothing captures tragedy quite as well as moments like these.
