Bitterness In Love Poem by Shierylle Barison

Bitterness In Love

Dreams we built, still clinging to the cliff,
Memories we cherished, now a bittersweet rift.
Obstacles we faced, victories we embraced,
Now echoes of a love that's been misplaced.

Why did you change so suddenly, so fast?
Does she love you deeper than I ever asked?
That's why you let me go without a care.
Never stopping to see the weight I bear.

Love's not a fairy tale, no perfect bliss,
No happy endings wrapped in a tender kiss.
Pain and sacrifice, all in vain we find,
What once was ours, now lost in the grind.
