Bittersweet. Poem by Viola Grey

Bittersweet.

Rating: 2.8

Ah, misguided soul,
clinging to cobwebs
spun so beautifully
around false love.
How sweet the bitterness
clinging to my tongue
trying to drown me
in silence.
Awake now forgotten anger,
fear not the bite
of shallow karma,
revenge will set us free.
Oh, sweet scent of betrayal
you sink into my skin,
staining memories black
like venom crusted teardrops
drying before morning.

Very powerful Viola - - and can identify with almost every line.... so poetically expressed and full of subdued passion - - revenge can at times taste so sweet....10/10 from Fay
