Black Illusions Poem by Ericka Obdeus

Black Illusions

Intentions and values read by many
Characteristics of a queen to give a good story
Solid and known for more than just a color
With creativity and skills behind a black cover
Texture as dark and rich
Knitted and carefully sewn
Perfect with neatness in every stitch
Sky and clouds of wonder
One mind one thought giving by a black mother
Designed in a beautiful frame of glass
A picture that tells all
100 percent full of class
Inside a magical ball
Tiny particles and flying objects
Knowledge surrounded by a wall
Circles of emotions filled in air
Different shapes and sizes
Face of happiness sad and scare
Shadows of the untouchable
Sights unseen and voices unheard of
Beyond a ghost quite invisible
Degraded and manipulated by whites
Badly injured
Red and blue shown as stripes
With pure and uncolored substitution
Precious as diamonds and pearls
Dirty but sustained
That's black illusions
