Black Shadow Poem by Barsa Sirius

Black Shadow

I am carrying a black shadow in me
That dark shadow is full of grief
It's home to the hidden jealousy
Those deeply graved insecurities
Those unresolved burdens
That unsaid torture
That unexpressed pain

A sea of frozen tears flows through that shadow
That shadow is a part of me
That shadow used to live in me
But these days I am being a guest in it

That shadow is now a black cloud
My soul is trapped in it
So are those emotions
So is my happiness
So are my thoughts

But these clouds are good
They are so warm
And they taught me to live alone
They helped me through my sorrows,
sorrows more than I deserved

the clouds have now taken my shape
To people they are not opaque

And they see me as a clown through them.
