Black Stars... Poem by Nestor David Armas

Black Stars...

All I see

Are black stars

Against a white sky,

My world upside down

And inverted,

All my dreams diverted

No water left to drown,

Didn't get my piece of pie

Broke all the jars

In this nightmare I couldn't flee,

Jell-O; yellow; Ello!

No one to wave at below,

All that's cool

Is the frozen pool,

My moustache is on fire

And I'm not in need dire,

The taco sauce

Burned me like a boss,

Mixed in coffee

And a monster

Topped it black and green

All this can't be unseen

Faster faster, come on stir

I'm egged on with glee,

Down the chute

This was not astute,

I want to be a big old tire;

I really meant Bengal tiger,

I hope in time I wake

Before all the wax

Melts on the cake

Whoops too late; I need ex-lax...
