Bleeding Heart - Poem by shannon eason

Apart of me feels like dead
A knife wound that can't heal.
The breathe slowly leaks out
Like a dropp of blood hitting
The ground with no way of stopping.

The only thing that keeps the
Blood from spilling out is the
Thought of one day that you
Will reenter my life like a star
Waiting for the moon to come
Out of hiding.

My heart beats only for you
The thought of another taking
Your place makes me want to
Stab a knife in my heart and
Watch it bleed because none
Can take away the love I have
For you.
