Bless the little children, Lord
Who are at a difficult place
Through selfish, absent parents
Who have left them there in haste.
Parents who decide to separate
Leaving little hearts, hurt and pure
Frightened they are at all ages
It is such a difficult life to endure.
So they grow up in confusion
And when they become an adult
They too are a disconnected parent
And I wonder, Lord, who's at fault?
They need to stop this once and for all
Please help them now to change
To put those precious children first
So parents' priorities will be rearranged.
