O blessed mortality
Thy temporal slumber is not long
And thy short season here is for great instruction.
So it is, that because of thy dusks and thy dawns,
My children might learn good against evil,
And love against hatred,
And though your reign is but a flicker,
My worthy children shall learn
To come to Me by choice.
O blessed mortality
Your purpose is indeed
One of greatness.
