Blind Poem by Celina Dominic

Blind

Rating: 2.5

People say I'm unfortunate
for God hasn't gifted me with
eyes to witness how
people show love, compassion
and care for each other
and to see how beautiful
God has created this world.
But lucky, I say, I am
because blindness covers
my soul from the terrible
deeds of His most precious
creation ever - the humans.
Blindness shields my eyes from
witnessing brothers kill each other,
and from the ungodly ways
of life mankind has willingly accepted,
A life filled with hatred, cheating and lies.
Blindness, I say, is not a curse
but only a boon for I'm
protected from everything
that I need protection from.
