Blind Poem by Trey

Blind

An eyeball,
and an empty mind.
Searching for the longest time.
Searching for a way to be,
while fighting for reality.
Nothing's real in all I see.
My mind's a lie
run by deceit.
A serpent coils round its prey,
It eats, and carries on its way,
The serpent kills,
The serpent's me.
I've made my mark
but cannot slay.
Running forward,
running from,
Away and towards,
Away from what?
What do I seek?
An eyeball,
With no sight at all.
Blind.
