Blind Night Poem by Nina Jakke

Blind Night

Everything slowly dissolves.
The stars glaring
down from the sky
accusingly down
on the blind night.

As the flood flush
everything away,
and all you can do
is try to keep your head
over the surface.

The struggle to survive
never letting yourself rest
filing the emptiness in the sky
where the stars are long gone.
