Blind Sided Poem by Laurence Overmire

Blind Sided

You look at the world
From your unique, particular
Angle
And you believe what you believe
To be true

He looks at the world
From his particular angle
And thinks what he thinks he knows
To be true

She looks at the world
From her particular angle
And wonders how many angles there are
How many beliefs
How many people declaring that their own
Particular angle is the
Only true angle and the rest are
Illusions

Many people will suffer
Many will die
Because of all these particular angles
And the eyes that only see so far
Or look so deep
While ignoring the great mystery
Of each and every angle
That weaves itself
Through the fabric of the universe
And ties us all
Together.
