Blindfold Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Blindfold

The giant tree at the center
of the occult jungle
whispered to me
"I can offer you a mirror
of darkness in which
you'll meet a different world"
This daydream haunts me
whenever I blindfold myself.
I know am a possessed city soul
who has recently forgotten
the daily game.
People around me watch my
play to have a fun.
Now I began forgetting the
steps and falter.
The crowd around me lost
interest and gone.
I closed my eyes and
engulfed in the rustle
from the loving giant tree.
"Give me the mirror.."
I whispered
I held the mirror of darkness
andsaw my image with wings.
"Keep flying.." said the tree.
"keep flying and then come
to me and rest..
this is your world..
this is your destiny"
