Blinding Place Poem by Nontlantla Mthimkulu

Blinding Place

Rating: 4.5

In a place full of hope but rarely hear "congratulations"
Plenty of advice in the bag
carried by opposite expectations.
They watch and wait for amusement
'our enemies'
They scream their lungs out "humanity" but still
find laughter in one's calamity.

There's no comfort with openness
..because we can't trust
Utter a word friend your tongue will tell
there's no such!
Jealousy and envy get the best of them,
Greedy for gain
They ask "How are you? "
with curiosity not care
with their long legs and big wallets
They captivate.
