Blood Bled For Love Poem by Jill Ferrey

Blood Bled For Love

The scars obtained for a love that once was
Leaving my soul all but drained
Of any form of thought or color
This I go though every which way through false valor

To know I can no longer touch, feel and be
The we were when we once were
Makes my heart bleed the purest red
That only the color of blood can be

This red seen by mine eyes only
As this bleeding is inside, each day
Searching, looking and not finding a way
So I bleed for what once was

Though this love is lost, forbidden
I shall remember it well, rejoice in you
Memories will hold me together
The smiles, the look passed between you and I

That look that spoke volumes
Spoke of emotion that required no words
He true connection between us that made us one
Is lost to me forever, yet still lingers in emotions

For my lost, now forbidden love,
I shall mourn, and may move on,
Yet I will never forget
Your essence, will always remain
