Blood Of Ages Poem by john raymond

Blood Of Ages

Walking down that dark street with God
Who do you see yourself as?
Do you look from the cheering crowd
As an innocent who did not know what was going on
Yet a soldier with blood stained WHIP
Or a man who tried to help
Carry the weight of the world with the lord
The strong but crying mother
Watch her son slowly die
Are as the lord with broken body
Holding an iron will in his faith.
If you said you were only one!
Of these people you be wrong!
The truth is we are all these people
Each step in our lives
Each step in life is but another honor
We play one of these roles
Jesus shed his blood for use
That the sin of man would wash away
So our souls are pure with a dropp of his blood
We need to grow in him to have that iron faith
To be led in faith is to know him
For heaven is waiting for all that know Jesus.
