Bloom From That Gloom Poem by Nitya Swaruba

Bloom From That Gloom

What's this madness, badness you are in
You've given way for sadness to creep in
You ask, what's the worst that could happen?
You'll exist, you'll survive
You'll live but not so alive

Who in the world is keeping you this way?
What on earth is eating you away?
You ask, what's it going to do anyway?
You keep at it without fear
You're present but you're never here

Don't you even miss yourself?
Won't you make time to kiss yourself?
You ask, what have I done with myself?
What's around you feels your sorrow
Yesterday, today, and tomorrow

Life feels like a standstill
Once happy, you are not still
You ask yourself where's all that thrill?
From the bright world you were born into
A dark space you've crawled into

Lift off the burden that's crushing you
Take off the cloak that's hiding you
You ask, will I ever be as happy as you?
If the path you're on is a dead end
Take the one that will let you mend

Now there's just one thing left to say
Follow your heart, but in the right way
You ask, how do I know I won't stray?
Think of the delight you have owned
And in all the bliss you'll always be adorned

Do it now, you will be free
All the happiness will come, never to leave!
