Secrets, lies, and ego
Jealousy and obligations you can't seem to forego
They're always waiting, waiting to catch you
If you didn't make that wise decision
You've let them in, they have snatched you
You think you can get away with it
It's just another piece of your cake
Who in the world can possibly figure it
What will ever give you away
In all the glory of your doing you gloat
Being caught is not among your thoughts
You bask in the lie in secrecy you wrote
Without sensing the glitch you forgot
Ignorant of what a revelation can bring
You're living a lie, rude and reckless
You'll lose all meaning of existing
When the repercussions render you helpless
It's because of you you're caught one day
All your lame excuses you deny
You get trapped in your own play
Every word you think curdles your insides
The guilt clutches you tight with fear
‘Cause you know now nothing is hidden
All your senses crouch, no sign of cheer
You're not special any more, just good riddance
How would you now forgive or forget
When the lie is splattered on your face
You're tangled in the very trap you set
You try to run away from every place
It's like that thing lodged between your teeth
Stubborn, won't even budge
If only you chose a life that lets you see
How you never let yourself be judged
If you're bent at seizing greatness
You will be caught in your evil ways
Hold on to the better, the goodness
It will make you feel great, anyway
The world has all the integrity ensnared
Use your head and grasp what you find
It's not difficult, it's not that bad
You can do it, just switch to your right mind
Your power is what made you turn this around
To be tangled or trapped is not your game
You breathe easy, your heart beats sound
You don't do that which can later make you pay
Now you never hear someone say "Caught you! "
You've magicked your being into the way it should
Pretense and lies are not your virtue
When all you own is the truth, you've understood.
