Blue Poem by Kitso Mafora

Blue

Rating: 5.0

in the silence of my brain
in the secret chambers of my chest
in the numbness of my toes
my soul questions the eerie silence of the color BLUE

figments of my imagination wonder around space
my pale dry tongue has lost words
as i try to penetrate the Babylonian walls of the BLUE color
but as i take one last penetrating look into your perfect glittering eyes
i sometimes see your true persona
and start understanding the meaning of BLUE

memories of tender years return when you and i first met
though my heart has grown both in size and years
i still enjoy the warmth of your smile
i enrapture in the glorious scenery of your eyes
which convey the true meaning of the color BLUE

even though many has grown blind to your emphasis of the BLUE color
i'm still wrapped in it
my heart is still caged by it
and my mind drills the BLUE mountain to find its core, eternally

now princess, I'm intending to give you the BLUE color if only you let me
your words betrayed your true persona of humility which stirred my interest
your actions has battled against all odds, and you won
and only you deserves my BLUE color as a crown
for the BLUE color mean more than a color BLUE
for you are a person to 'Be Loved Until Eternity'
and I'm intending to love you 'til eternity
