Blue Is Never True Poem by Brian Sonberg

Blue Is Never True

Blue eyes
We danced
Through the greenest springs
In my dreams

But in reality
We burn
Stuck in endless summer

Passing seasons mark time
Even endless summer
Burns out
Our heat
Became our hell

So you stayed
While I embraced the cold

I dream of spring thaw
When our hearts
Shall bloom again
