Blue Was She Poem by Nikhil Santhosh

Blue Was She

The colour blue...
its mystifying hue,
it reminds me of a girl
and a love so ephemeral...

it aint her eyes,
sparkling drops of dew,
or her lone silhoutte
in the nullness of night,
and the soft silky silence
that veiled our senses....
but its something about blue
dear friends, with its mystifying hue...

her voice did trembled,
but when souls sings duets,
i know, everyone is a singer...
but.. what we sang that night,
dear friends, wasnt any blues...

is she blue?
'cause she quenched
my thirst of truest love?
naive, shameless and spontaneous?

or is she blue?
'cause thoughts of her
fills my emptiness?
vast, calm and infinite?

or is it the guilt?
that simmers deep inside
from the dawn we parted?
i cant say.. but it has a warmth...

maybe its the blueness
of the smokey haze
that fills our lovely memories,
maybe that, my dear friends,
is all about blue and her
and its mystifying hues....
