Bob Dylan, A Portrait Of His/ Whitman/ Ginsberg Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Bob Dylan, A Portrait Of His/ Whitman/ Ginsberg

Bob Dylan, A Portrait of His

I make a portrait of his,
In the clothing suites,
Coat, pants and long boots
With a hat over the head
And he singing a pop song
With the guitar in his hands
Performing and singing.

Whitman

Whitman,
You a ragged man,
A vagabond
Visionary
Keeping late into the night
And writing visionary poems,
Dreaming of voyages, ships sailed,
Mariners, shipmen going,
Those who building,
Those who at work
Day and night
Serving the nation, the world
And humanity
Selflessly
Risking lives
And for which what do they,
Have you thought it about?

Ginsberg

Ginsberg,
Yours too was America
You dreamt,
Thought it about,
Ginsberg,
Allen Ginsberg
The protest
In the aftermath of the Vietnam War,
Better spoke you the minds of the younger generations
What they wanted it
And the policy-makers
Drunken with power
Knew it not, knew it not,
Felt it not, felt it not
The younger minds, the younger minds,
A visionary you, you,
A rebel, a rebel,
An idealist
In your counter culture, anti-establishment
Lay it, lay it
The thesis and anti-thesis of yours,
Your power of going against
The establishment.
