Bonsai Poem by human the human

Bonsai

See me
My leaves dancing in the summer's breeze
Though green and radiant,
They are a small part of a larger whole

See me
A trunk of solid soul
Unchanged by turbulent winds,
But not enough me to be all

See me
Beyond the surface I am roots
And though deeper than diamond mines
There is even more

See me
Beyond ego, beyond being, beyond soul
Unlimited, unquantified
I still choose to be a bonsai tree
