Borderline Dream Poem by Ragy Sandid

Borderline Dream

I thought it was you-
But this must be the wrong dream
We’re not supposed to
Meet together and become a dream

I must’ve overslept
So I must’ve overdreamt
And into the future I leapt
And dreamt what I shouldn’t have dreamt

I dreamt you and I are one
And the dream was not a dream
But land true to moon and sun
And love ruled the dream

But why outside that frame
I could feel the cold current of a scream?
Who was calling out my name?
Checking me out of the dream

Ah, I thought it was you, so….
The dream wasn’t a dream after all
Just pull one face in; let the other go
One from reality, the other from the soul.
