Watching the Tidal
Bore Baltic Sea
By William He

Seagulls are wheeling above,
Specks of rock are faint in a row,
Wave being bigger and trough being deep.
Dripping wet from the spray,
Cruiser cleaves through the waves in array,
Magnificant Nordic scenery on a fall day.
Sunset tints hills along the shore,
Water birds stand on the buttock,
The evening glow far and wide.
The steam whistle is blowing,
With the sea month serenade the tides play.

The Vasa, symbols of power and courage,
Sank at the start of her maiden voyage,
With halberds defeat and crack.
Wreckage, only the lonely winding,
Success or failure once your back turns,
Heroes here are scoured away by the waves.
After the demise of Charles XII in fiord,
Peter the Great as proud as a peacock,
But one can not put back the clock.
Amber cups are brimmed with nectar,
In a mood can few understand now.
