Boredom Poem by Sandra van Coppenhagen

Boredom

boredom
- it gets to me
forced to wait for time to pass
i want to break out
i'm finally free from my cage
my soul no longer chained down
but i'm kept there
boredom
- my friend
the sun is shining
the world waits for me
i want to go play
i want to go live
but still i'm kept here
boredom
- my torture

And there is nothing more boring than being the hospital for 2 weeks with nothing to do except go for this test and that test. Company comes but has to leave at a certain time leaving you alone with your thoughts. Borrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. Then there are the nurses and the doctors that come in an out of your room. But they only talk about medicine or your ailment. Then they leave too, leaving you with your thoughts. Borrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrring. This is a very heartfelt write about boredom and the few images I saw in this were really very vivid. A 10+++++ and thank you for sharing this. Love & hugs, Barbara
