Born In Sin (2) Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Born In Sin (2)

Rating: 0.5

If sinful man would care to change
The Lord would understand
Our lives He’d swiftly rearrange
By Jesus’ mighty hand

He’d give His Spirit drenched in Flame
He’d give His Liquid Light
He’d give to each a brand new name
And robe of purest white

Yet some in Christ are playing fools
Though truth is crystal clear
Like little children breaking rules
We show God’s Son no fear –Jn.14: 15

What good are Christians playing dumb?
Through Christ, we’re born anew!
We should recall from whence we’ve come
How much is yet to do?

There’s so much work to do out there
So many fail and die
So many lose Salvation’s share
But few yet wonder why?

Has Jesus’ blood not washed us clean?
God’s Truth not set us free?
Are we not Jesus’ chosen queen?
For all the world to see?

We’re born again we’re saved by grace
We’re Jesus’ precious few!
Yet if we’ll see His holy face
We must be holy too

For this, we must be loyal first
We need God’s praise to sing
We need to hunger and to thirst
And serve our Lord & King…
