Borrowed Movie Lines Poem by EMMALINE ORTIZ

Borrowed Movie Lines

When someone asks me a favor
If I can and if I feel better
I borrow the lines from Terminator
'No Problemo' is my ready answer.

Whenever my love sits beside me
and embraces me tightly,
Like Jerry McGuire, I would whisper gently,
My desire, 'you complete me'.

Well dirty Harry used to say,
'Go ahead punk, make my day'
'Tis I silently convey
Should my enemies dare to come my way.

What I usually do if I experience boredom
or if there are no challenges to overcome
I make funny faces, and sometimes exercise my diaphragm
With a Braveheart, I cry-out 'You may take my life but you'll never take my freedom! '

Whoa! Let me tell you 'bout my good friend Riss,
who's a poet and also a wife with two kids
She's upset with one of her co-workers
who buys exact same dresses that she wears
I think it's about time for her to utter, words made famous by Lavinia character,
'You're nothing but a second rate, trying hard, copy cat! '
Unkind words that meant to berate (or to make feel bad) , how will the copy cat take that?

When your mind draws a blank
Nice memorable movie lines are always there to thank
It is okay to borrow these wordings,
Like the actors' rendition, please say them with feelings.
