Bottom Dwellers Poem by Somniator Moon

Bottom Dwellers

There once was a girl
Who worked a place
She always tried
To have a smile on her face

Now she sings
Writes poems and songs
She wants to tell the world
About the rights and wrongs

She's taking the time
To make it known
The reason her heart burns
Is the truth isn't known

For down very low
Where the bottom dwellers feed
There's a whole heap
Of corruption and greed

They know just how
To look into your eyes
Then speak words
That tell blatant lies

Together they are a team
Keeping the truth hidden
It's not as you think you see
As telling the truth is forbidden

It's really very sad
The only thing seen as good
Is making the honest look dishonest
Tell the truth? huh They never would

Maybe it's just the norm
In a corporation
Or just the norm
For a nation

At the end of the day
She's still got her pride
'Cause she never had
Anything to hide....
