A good friend listens to your hopes and fears
Helps you through your hardest years
Knows when you are happy and sad
When you do something wrong don't think you're bad

A good friend doesn't bag you out
Yet sometimes may scream and shout
Lending a shoulder or ear
Them you never have to fear

They help you smile
Often stay for a while
Them you can trust
You feel no lust

Feeling love for them
Like a sparkling priceless gem
Looking in their eyes
You can tell if it's lies

In them you have faith
Always feel safe
When you need someone to hold you tight
They sit and comfort you throughout the night

For each other you make time
As the ladder of friendship you climb
This is what I think is a good friend
A friendship like that would never end.....
