Bourgeois Poem by Gregory Powell

Bourgeois

Arrogant rat-dog prances
In haughty tempo
Eye to eye past homeless man
Reclined on ratty cloth
Nowhere to go.

Diamond studs cast
Sparkles from collar, tightly
Straining against leashed neck,
Going down Michigan Avenue
Dapper in plaid sheepskin
Wrapped over dog
spa coifed fur.
