Boy. Poem by Bailey Burris

Boy.

Boy of a billion bruises
But all inside the heart
No one can really see
How much he wants to fall apart.

Fifty different houses
But not one he calls home
Boy of a billion bruises
Is nothing but alone

So he runs and he runs
To find somewhere to hide
Because this boy
He feels nothing inside

Another school
Another room
The hurt, the pain
Nothing is new

He longs to feel
Something for real
Something of worth
To help him heal

But he still has the hope
That he’s kept inside
But it fades a little
Every time he cries.

And all you can see
With your selfish eyes
Is just a boy
As clear as the sky

Im in love with this poem. I think I like it more because I think I know who its about? So it makes it all the more fantastic. But its spectacular, even if i did not know whom its about. wow, i dont make any sense sometimes. I LOVE THIS POEM.
