Boy (You'Re A Mean One) Poem by Haylee Nanez

Boy (You'Re A Mean One)

Everytime the phone rings,
even if It's not you
My stomach fills with butterflies,
at least a million or two.

I get this giddy feeling,
that we'll fall in love
and live happliy after,
with all of the above.

And when I see that message,
i smile with an open heart.
I'll reply with such a feeling,
that our love then has a start.

But then when I send,
Anxiously i wait for the moment.
That it rings, yet again.
And again I fall all over.

You say Words don't be used,
yet clearly I know,
It's what I've abused.

Your my instant flush of colored tones,
the sprantic rush of love hormones.

I await when we meet, Face-to-face.
I share my love for you embraced.
I'll kill the ice with such sweet silence,
and float away with a love so timeless....

So until that day I'll wait for that ring,
that sends me this feeling,
all over again.
