Brave Mom Poem by Maria Gallego- Jiménez

Brave Mom

Rating: 4.5

You didn't mean to wreck a home

All you did was purely love him

You were innocent like a dove

You didn't notice his deceit

He allured you with dulcet words.

He feigned to be a bachelor

He captivated your whole heart

Clung to him till you got pregnant

Serendipitously you knew

After you gave birth to a child

He has already betrothed

And they already have two kids

It has torn your heart into pieces

But just kept all the pain in silence,

Made the right decision to leave him

You were tranquil and bid adieu

You went to your hometown broken

With the child born out of wedlock

You raised her without his support

You worked hard and made her refine
