Break The Cliche Poem by Liz Lane

Break The Cliche

on, on, on the go- like little ducklings in a row
they follow the leader- they follow the pack
originality is what they lack

oh my gosh- did you hear
the new style that is very near
got to rush and get it before its gone
this stuff gets tiring- it makes me want to yawn

rush fast we got to scurry
we got to get to that special lunch table- we better hurry
one gets up- the others follow
its bothersome, and frustrating- I haven't even taken a swallow

what if we quit with the cliche
not everything has to be grey
lets be unique- that doesn't mean you have to give up chic
all we go to do is change our view and remember just be you
