Breath - Our Body's Inmate Poem by vino aina

Breath - Our Body's Inmate

Rating: 5.0

Just like the way criminals are been sentenced to jail by judges
We have also had our breath sentenced to our bodies by God
Everyday a child is born, it marks the start of a new turn
A phase with only one gate - death!
Numerous walders but with only one face
A brain but with no plan for this kind of escape
Even 'Michael Scoffield' wouldn't take up this kind of case
We are all been placed on duty each and everyday
Watching our breath in fear of passing through the only gate
Quick in attack when it comes to taking this breath away
Nobody wants to die is the popular phrase
Some people even try to protect a fellow inmate
In a condition like this, we should all learn not to hate
Loving each other might just be the only way
It would be the spice at the end of the race
Casting our minds back will make us smile without shame
No regrets about what has become our fate
And eventually thank God for giving us his grace
