Breathless Poem by a nobody named maui

the air is thick
with the scent of fire,
trying to suffocate my lungs
and saturate the mind

so i tried to breathe

i inhaled deeply,
with the sensual scents
i closed my eyes
and let myself just feel

this heartbeat is arrythmic

its beating fast, faster
erratically crying
for more

it was my own
but i felt
a similar echo

yours

and i was breathless
as you made me feel
this heat

mindless...

helpless...

breathless
with this need.
