Bricks Poem by Kat Saunders

Bricks

We look up at the wall
Oh how it's soo tall
The people are crying
And baby's are dying
But we are the ants of the earth

Children torn
From parents that mourn
For the the way they are not seen as people
But they are just the ants of the earth
Nothing.

The slam of the gates
We got shipped in crates
We are washed away like the sea with a surf
But we are just the ants of the earth

So stop pretending they aren't there
I know you see the violence in the air
But just as we get up off of the dirt
Stronger people remind us
We are just the ants of the earth
