Brief Encounter Poem by Mari Martin

Brief Encounter

Rating: 4.5

Watched a dragonfly today.
We sat and looked at each other for a while.
He so small compared to even my fingers.
I thought how beautiful he is.
I thought how wonderful his life of flying to be.
I envied him his travels.
I envied him his carefree life.
I wonder, what did he see in me?
