Brilliant White Poem by Cee Bea

Brilliant White

as I ponder the preceding years
I see faces I know
things that I fear
all so misty except
for what's become clear, passing of
time
with the ones I hold dear

grace of the dawn
Blessed by each passing hour
or
the moon that is bold
and warm summer shower

Like the smile you sent
sweet as fresh flowers

So much may not be
as I peer out the door
I could never love less
but always love more
placed on this earth
refuge from the storm
My vision intact since
the day I was born

I see the Sky, know that
I am alive
that the heart I have gained
Is because of my ties

Its hard to be me
as Its hard to be you
But we are what we are
or do what we do

as dusk clears the sky
Of the blue and the bright
heralding the silence
of cool autumn nights
I give thanks for the time
for my life brilliant white
