'Bring him to me' she bellowed
into the skies
so that it echoed back
three times
between heaven and earth
Bring him to me, the one who can see art
when all others see madness
Bring him to me so that I may
paint upon the canvas of his skin
with my blood- a discourse of my hopes and dreams
Bring him to me so that I may
carry him upon the arch of my back
to Mount Olympus's top and proclaim
my self heretic, for I have found
heaven in him - and so smite me Zeus
thou art a false God
Bring him to me so that I may
teach you passion unexpressed by language
lost and old - and so put out the flame
of Romeo and Juliet but seal their fate as
suicide lovers for my passion dulls their petty love
Bring him to me, he who would have me
rebel against the heavens and
deny their divinity
for he saw art in my madness
