Broken Poem by Simon The Red

Broken

It was unique, unusual too good to be true,
Our passion so strong, unable to subdue,
Bound by love and a secret, special code,
We never ever thought it would explode!

So, take me away and then close the door,
Imagine that you've never met me before,
Forget the times we had together,
Erase them from you mind forever.

Discard these dreams which we once shared,
Too many times they've been repaired,
But it's all too much to try again,
We both grew tired of the constant pain.

I thought we would forever share this life,
And maybe even become man and wife,
But sometimes this life is not all it seems,
Strange powers appear and kill our dreams.

So these few words are our last farewell,
The magic has gone from our magical spell,
We've been cast aside for something cruel,
Sometimes in love we become a fool!

And so, I wish I could change it all,
But the Gods up there decided we'd fall,
We can't win against the powers of fate,
That replaced our love with darkness and hate.

This foul destiny we cannot avoid,
A love and life has been destroyed,
Happy days of energy, joy, love and fun,
It seems our chance has been and gone!
