Broken Poem by Anterrio Graham

Broken

Don't tell me you loved me, that's not true.
Don't tell me you cared because you didn't.
Don't open the door unless you mean it.
Don't stay if you won't close the distance.
Don't stay if you won't close the distance.

This became a deep infatuation that was one sided
Goals set to become a better man for someone who wasn't there
If you could understand through your immaturity, you'd see it's unfair
You took an opportunity that was rare
You took advantage of someone who was scared
The deep abyss of someone's loneliness can be their biggest weakness
You capitalized and now you expanded the whole in their heart

Don't open the door unless you mean it.
Don't stay if you won't close the distance.
Don't stay if you won't close the distance.
You did this to me

The words that I've dialed up to express these thoughts aren't enough
The pride that I have won't let me express the hurt
Sometimes the silence of this lonely mind feels the worst
What was once a blessing has now officially become a curse

Don't stay if you won't close the distance.
Don't stay if you won't close the distance.
Just go away
