Broken Poem by Jessica N Wesseh

Broken

Why did you choose to
treat me this way?
Please don't forget the day,
so quickly.
You promised me, to love,
but made me crawl.
Then again you displayed the monster in you.
The heart is made of stone;
Embedded with the odd of broken trust.
Was I wrong to fall in love with you?
The memories we've had
left a part of me so dark.
I think walking away is the best option.
You asked for love, and I gave you my all;
Leaving the bruises
of a broken heart that cannot be found.
Why?
Why did you choose to leave
those scars of reptiles within me?
The affiliation is more than
the fire from the pit of hell.
