Broken - Poem by Kelsey Bachmeier

and now you walk away
after all the fights we had
then i turn to God
it was him i used to pray
when all my self-hate
turned as if the cuts. were my only fate

but its the lord i promise now
that you'll no longer hurt me
asking, begging that you'll just let me be
looking for the answers

you told me that you prayed to him too
my guts not saying,
you prayed for the end of me and you
well you got your wish

as of last night
we were through.
