Fear. That feeling of weakness, vulnerability….terror
When I look in the mirror that's all I see; fear.
Her hair stands still, too afraid to move
Insomnia paints bags under her eyes, carrying their weight from its sleep abuse.
Her head spins from ghosts that haunts her brain
Clouding her mind with faults and humility, leaving her skin with bright red stains.
Her reflection shines with a beauty in pain, looking through teary eyes only seeing her mistakes
Constant shame and degradation is put on her, seeing every unsymmetrical line on her face.
Who should she put to blame? The tired and broken girl in the mirror who is scared to accept her flaws or the persistently lurking demons taking advantage of her thoughts.
She fears the girl who is reflected, she's weak, vulnerable..afraid, yearning so much for validation she puts on an empty masquerade. Smiling in a crowd filled with hypocrites.
Scared to be herself, scared of being judged, scared of opinions… Fear.It travels through her veins nourishing her ghosts, turning her into a headstone for people and their inscriptions, knowing that in the end she would be dying all alone.
